About the Band

Bob Stroud has been a familiar fixture on the Chicago radio scene for over twenty years. Beginning in 1979 with WMET, Stroud and his legendary weekend show, Rock 'N Roll Roots, has aired on eight different stations throughout the Chicago FM and AM dial. He currently holds the midday slot on 97.1 FM, The Drive.

In 1989, Bob helped to form and front Rockestra, an eleven-piece band that capitalized on the ground breaking rock and soul of the 60s and 70s. For ten years the band played every major festival in the Chicagoland area, and entertained corporate and society clients.

Now with his new band, The Stroud Crowd, Stroud picks up his guitar again, and gets set to transport you back to the days when WLS and WCFL were presets on your car radio.

The music of the 60s and 70s lives once again with Bob Stroud and the Stroud Crowd. Catch them at an event near you, or Contact Us to inquire about booking the band.
